Waiting is something that we have become accustomed to during this global pandemic. It is something that can be really hard for us to do at times. Right before the pandemic hit, I made a change in work. The company I worked for was restructuring and I felt like it was the right time for me to move on to something else. I had complete peace with the decision. I thought that this would be a short time of transition both in my work and the pandemic. I think we can all say we did not think that the pandemic would last as long as it has. We took so much for granted before the pandemic. Living through this time has made me realize how much we took for granted every day. I am so thankful that we have had a chance to see how much we have to be thankful for each and every day! In this waiting there have been many unexpected blessings, especially the extra time we have had in our family. Before the pandemic we were all each so busy.
I can see how the Lord has sustained us during this difficult season in our lives and I am thankful for the lessons I have learned this past year. God promises to be with us in every season of our lives if we let Him be in control. I have really learned to depend more on Him through prayer this year with so much uncertainty. As I embark on a new position this next month, I can’t wait to see how the Lord will work. The Lord promises many blessings to those who wait on Him. He is our hope!
