OVERCOMING DOUBT

by | Jul 24, 2020

One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Psalm 139. As a young adult, I struggled with insecurity and doubt. Like me, does this pandemic bring up feelings of doubt or uncertainty? No one in my family has lived through a global pandemic. Psalm 139 has helped me tremendously as I focused on what this chapter says. I began to recite it and put my name where it said “me” or “I.” I came to realize how deeply the Lord loves and cares for me. We are truly loved by Him! He created each of us. There is nothing you go through in this life where God is not. He is always watching over you. You can bring anything going on in your life to Him because He desires to be in relationship with you. He loves you and cares about all the details of your life! I challenge you to read Psalm 139 for a week and really let it sink in how much the Lord knows us and cares for us.

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.

Psalm 139:1-2

Lord thank you for “adopting” me as your child. Thank you for shining your light into the darkness that entangles me at times. John 1:5 says, “And this Living Expression is the Light that bursts through gloom-the Light that darkness could not diminish!” Amen.
