Hebrews 4:15 is a foundational verse for me. It says, “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.” This verse gives me such hope in this season of life. Do you ever feel tempted to move forward with a plan or idea before the Lord has given you affirmation? I have to admit that I have at times. I have been learning patience and waiting on the Lord to answer a prayer during this global pandemic. Everything in our lives have changed from the way we knew it. I have to say that the Lord has answered so many of my prayers and the prayers for other people during this time. It has brought me so much peace and has helped me trust that He has a great plan. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” If you find yourself in a time of uncertainty or need, I challenge you to seek the Lord and trust in Him to act on your behalf. He alone is trustworthy!
Recently I heard a song that our worship team sang and the lyrics really struck me as they sang it. It said that when our faith gets tired and our hope seems lost to remind ourselves of the “song” that God wrote for us. God has a plan and purpose for every person! Let God lead you and see what He will do in your life. This is the best place to be as you wait for His direction and you will find peace in this place of waiting on the Lord.
